AN ODE
TO RAMDULARI

The Ramdulari has a glorious history. Originally built in the late 1800s by the aristocratic Bengali zamindars, the estate was later remodelled by the British in the 1930s. Even later it was owned by the royal Nawabs of Bengal. It was finally bought by Shri Radhe Shyam Bajoria in 1966 who made it his home and named the property Ramdulari after his beloved mother. Today, Ramdulari lives on as a poignant reminder of a son's tribute to his mother.

Ramdulari, a heritage icon of the city is going to be re-imagined and re-built as an uber-luxe residency, in South Kolkata. The building's previous life has helped inspire its present architecture.

We began this project with two things in mind, a dream and a belief.
